Today’s weekly Fetish Fix is hierophilia and it refers to sexual urges or fantasies involving sacred or religious objects.

Hierophilia is often more that just an attraction to religious objects, they are also  people who get off on having sex or masturbating while in a religious setting.

Now, most may think that this type of fetish is an act of deliberate blasphemy, that it’s their way of bashing God, but in fact, the majority who reportedly practice hierophilia are deeply devoted to their religion. In most cases, the hierophiliac that derives sexual pleasure from the objects in the place of his/her religion is overwhelmed with the guilt that such behavior is sinful, especially if the religion in which they practice has very strict rules on sex.
