A few members of the Glee cast recently did one hot photo shoot for GQ magazine and it’s pissing off a whole lot of parents out there. The Parents Television Council is bitching nonstop about these racy photos saying that they are a “near-pornographic display.” “It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on Glee in this way. It borders on pedophilia,” said PTC President Tim Winter.
Pedophilia? Really?! Funny because both Lea Michele and Dianna Agron are in their 20s. Just because they portray teenagers on TV doesn’t actually mean that they are teenagers. If they want to pose sexy, they can, and if we want to oogle their goodies, we can.
Dianna Agron later blogged about the photo shoot and the controversy it has stirred, saying that, “If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?… I understand that in today’s world of advanced technology, the internet, our kids can be subject to very adult material at the click of a button. But there are parental locks, and ways to get around this.”
Exactly! What the hell are these parents bitching about? These photo are in an adult magazine, one that their children should never see. If their kids see the racy photos then that’s the parent’s fault. These actresses are not parents, they are not here to raise your children for you. So shut the fuck up PTC and stop being such prudes. We love half naked women, especially hot ones like the Glee gals.
