When Dirty Mag was created, we argued –and still do, about the whole concept for the site. Its inspiration comes from the peak of dirty mags, back when dirty jokes and dirty magazines were more than just “porn” and potty humor. When art-house was the trend in home decor, –murals of sex depicted in Hollywood. The days when the dirty mag was a symbol of sexual freedom…. it just happened to be stuffed between your mattress and your box-springs. One thought was that the logo should be a woman (Dirty Mag, get it, Mag?) with huge knockers reading one of her hubby’s dirty mags in the bathroom, but alas, it just didn’t catch on.

These days, porn is about nameless individuals getting rammed in every hole for ten minutes; there’s no story, no real smut behind it. The heyday of raunchy reading focused on celebrity sex scandals, with emphasis on the sex, and included bits and pieces of culture and history from around the world. So we don’t just cover the serious sex and hardcore porn, we’ve made it our mission statement to put more fun in fornication.
